The DMB

Posted by zach on March 24th, 2007

Well yesterday on our way to California we drove through Las Vegas, and it just so happened that we saw a poster for the Dave Matthews Band playing at MGM, and we thought there is no way there would be tickets left, well it so happened it was sold out, but they released obstructed view tickets, and being the men of Faith we are!! Dustin and I bought two tickets, and they were on the floor right behind the sound board!! It was awesome, the Fray opened up and then DMB rocked for 2 1/2 hours! YESSS!!!
Thankyou
God is good!

esr and the kentucky state troopers

Posted by zach on March 18th, 2007

so it finally happened. josh and his cookie addiction got us pulled over. we were on our way through the beautiful state of kentucky and a couple of fairly scary state troopers asked us some interesting questions. do you have any weapons? guns? hand grenades? no… whats that in your pocket? uh… a receipt. do you have any drugs? marijuana? cocaine? meth? no… well we’re gonna have the dog search your van and trailer. why don’t you step out here into these scary freezing woods. sounds good officer.

so after about three laps around the trailer and a look around inside the van all the dog found was a dora the explorer. (he seemed pretty disinterested in the whole thing once he got a chance to pee on the side of the highway) so the troopers sent us on our way, telling us to try and keep it straight going down the road. to which we told them to do the same. josh went right back to searching for cookies and swerving his way down the pavement in our van that now smells of wet dog.

save for that little delay our time in kentucky was awesome. jason and everybody at owensborough christian were the biggest blessing in the world. we can’t thank you guys enough.

Adios!

Weird things happen…

Posted by Grace on March 8th, 2007

hello all. well we are tour once again! sheesh, what do we think we are, a band! weird. anyway yesterday we were driving to iowa and found ourselves stuck on a dirt road, with our trailer burried in the snow… as we sat i thought to myself, this is interesting… it was actually quite creepy. it was a dark road with a very creepy looking barn at the end of it…. perfect for a scence in a horror flick.. and we had about 2 hours till a tow truck could make it down there to rescue us.. in this time, i had a thought… “how great is God?” (yes, i realize for most this is a very foreign though considering the situation) but please listen.. As we all sat there in the van, everyone started talking and of course josh said something funny as usual, and everyone just burst out in laughter… thats where the thought hit.. “how great is God?” In a situation thats less than ideal, there is still joy, there is this undeniable knowledge that God has your back, no matter what. Im amazed that I even have the gul to worry about things. I mean really. … We serve the same God that parted the red sea, the same God that answered by fire, when other gods couldnt. So i pose the question, and ask you to ponder and answer… “How GREAT IS GOD?”

PEACE OUT!
