esr and the kentucky state troopers

so it finally happened. josh and his cookie addiction got us pulled over. we were on our way through the beautiful state of kentucky and a couple of fairly scary state troopers asked us some interesting questions. do you have any weapons? guns? hand grenades? no… whats that in your pocket? uh… a receipt. do you have any drugs? marijuana? cocaine? meth? no… well we’re gonna have the dog search your van and trailer. why don’t you step out here into these scary freezing woods. sounds good officer.

so after about three laps around the trailer and a look around inside the van all the dog found was a dora the explorer. (he seemed pretty disinterested in the whole thing once he got a chance to pee on the side of the highway) so the troopers sent us on our way, telling us to try and keep it straight going down the road. to which we told them to do the same. josh went right back to searching for cookies and swerving his way down the pavement in our van that now smells of wet dog.

save for that little delay our time in kentucky was awesome. jason and everybody at owensborough christian were the biggest blessing in the world. we can’t thank you guys enough.

    WE FEEL YOUR PAIN! That exact same thing happened to us, except we were on our way to C-stone. we did not, however, get the sniff dogs. You must have looked quite threatening heh.

    In response to Mr. Stone’s comment, I’m glad you were thinking of Zach because apparently nobody else was! :( Oh, well. He still got a cake and presents, even if they weren’t until the next day. Better late than never!

    About the story, yeah, Josh is kind of a crazy driver sometimes, as witnessed by our trip from the concert site back to our car in Twin Falls last summer… And that wasn’t even with towing the huge stinkin’ trailer! :)

    So, Josh still can’t drive… nothing new :) When will you learn Zach that you or Dusty have to drive?!?
